What can I search with a Company – View/Use subscription?

With a GS1 US Data Hub | Company – View/Use subscription, you can run an unlimited number of queries by company name (or partial name), GS1 Company Prefix, Global Trade Item Number® (GTIN®) or Global Location Number (GLN). Filter options include company address and prefix country of origin.

GS1 US Data Hub | Company – View/Use provides source-based (not crowd-sourced), validated data on GS1 Company Prefix ownership. The license records are created automatically when a GS1 Company Prefix is licensed, so you can be confident that all prefixes surfaced from your queries are structured correctly and follow GS1 Standards.

What results will I get?

The search results will display any companies and their identifiers that match your search criteria. Details for each include the entity GLN, UPC Company Prefix, GS1 Company Prefix, company name and address, prefix status (only for prefixes licensed by GS1 US®), and date modified. With the optional Export Add-On, you can export these search results and download them in an Excel spreadsheet.

Does GS1 US Data Hub | Company – View/Use give access to U.S. or global data?

Both! Companies associated with a GTIN or GLN licensed with GS1 US have their company and license information added to GS1 US Data Hub and have the ability to share it. GS1 members around the world have their company and license information stored in the Verified by GS1 Global Registry via their GS1 member organizations. Queries for a prefix, GTIN, or GLN will search both our U.S.-based and global databases, but all other queries will only search the U.S.-based database.

Yes, you can! To download a list of all U.S.-licensed prefixes, single GLN licensees, or GTIN licensees, you will need a GS1 US Data Hub | Company – View/Use subscription and an Export Add-On.

If you are a Premier GS1 US Solution Partner, you already have the GS1 US Data Hub | Company – View/Use and the API Add-On subscriptions included in your Solution Partner subscription, so you don’t need to add anything.

If you are an Executive GS1 US Solution Partner, you need to add a GS1 US Data Hub – View/Use subscription (Product, Location or Company) so you can use the API Add-On subscription included in your Solution Partner subscription.

If you are a Standard GS1 US Solution Partner, no GS1 US Data Hub subscription is included, and you should add whichever one you need.
